That was just beautiful! I couldn't get through it without tears! Something about that song and all the WONDERFUL that goes along with it! Happy first hearing birthday Sienna!
That was such a touching video. I know your daughter will appreciate your hard efforts, patience and gidance one day. Don't be surprised when you get the biggest bear hug (probably when Sienna is 16 or so) I,ve been on a similar journey with my brother - we didn't even know he was deaf until he was about 3years old. every hurdle you overcome turns into a reason to celebrate! Good job everyone!
On August 28th, 2007, Sienna came into our world. We have recently discovered that she was born with Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV)which resulted in a profound bilateral hearing loss and growth and developmental delays. She was diagnosed with her hearing loss in December 2008. Her hearing journey began in January 2009 when she put on her hearing aids.
Sienna is our ray of sunlight, hence the name, Sunshine Sienna. From the beginning, she lights up our lives with the twinkle in her eyes, her contagious smile and her comical ways.
This site was developed to keep our family and friends updated with her progress. We thank everyone for your continued support.
